Working With Post-Op Cosmetic Surgery Clients Every Day

Every single day, I work hands-on with women recovering from cosmetic surgery. Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures, liposuction, tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, breast augmentations, breast reductions, and full body contouring surgeries are part of my daily practice. As a post-op massage therapist, my role goes far beyond technique. I listen closely to my clients—what they’re experiencing physically, emotionally, and mentally during recovery.

These conversations are honest and unfiltered. I hear what feels supportive, what feels restrictive, and what causes unnecessary discomfort. Recovery products come up often, especially BBL pillows. Women openly share what helps them feel stable and what makes recovery harder than it needs to be. When you work this closely with post-op bodies every day, patterns become very clear.

Why I Never Planned to Sell a Product—Until I Had To

I never set out to create or sell a recovery product. That was never part of the plan. But after hearing the same frustrations again and again from real women recovering from BBL surgery, I realized something was missing. Too many post-op recovery pillows were designed without truly understanding how different every body is.

My priority has always been my clients’ comfort and well-being during healing. Recovery is already challenging enough—no one should feel trapped, unstable, or in pain because of a poorly designed BBL pillow. After listening to my clients’ experiences, I knew I couldn’t ignore the problem. I wanted to create something that genuinely supported women through recovery, not just something that followed what was already on the market.

Experience, Education, and Trust You Can Feel

My career in massage therapy and post-operative recovery spans more than three decades. I trained as a licensed massage therapist, CAMTC Lic #33056, and later taught massage therapy at National Holistic Institute and American Career College, where I helped future therapists understand both the science and responsibility behind hands-on care. Teaching strengthened my commitment to ethical practice, clinical thinking, and client-centered healing.

I’m also the founder and owner of multiple wellness businesses, including Wrthit, a post-op lymphatic and recovery practice dedicated to supporting cosmetic surgery patients, and Balanced Pro Massage, which I opened in 2013. Through Wrthit alone, we’ve earned 36 five-star Google reviews, written by real clients who trusted me during some of the most vulnerable moments of their recovery. That trust matters to me. Every service I provide—and every recovery tool I help create—is rooted in education, experience, and genuine care. I’m also the founder of MassageBusinessAcademy.com, where I mentor and educate massage therapists nationwide on building ethical, sustainable practices rooted in clinical excellence and client-centered care.

Why the Bellini BBL Pillow Has a Flat-Top Design Instead of Waves

When my husband and I designed The Bellini BBL pillow, we made a very intentional decision to move away from the common “wavy” or molded designs found in many BBL pillows. Bodies are not uniform, and recovery pillows shouldn’t be either. A one-shape-fits-all approach simply doesn’t reflect real anatomy.

Instead, we designed a flat-top BBL pillow using gel-infused memory foam. This allows each woman’s body to naturally create its own comfort and stability while still keeping pressure off the buttocks. The foam adapts to her shape, helping support circulation and healthy blood flow during BBL surgery recovery—without forcing the legs or hips into fixed positions.

Choose Comfort That Was Designed for Real Recovery

Here’s the question I want every woman to ask herself during recovery:
Would you rather use a BBL pillow with the same mass-produced design as everyone else—or choose a thoughtfully designed BBL pillow created by a post-op therapist who listens to women every single day?

Recovery is personal. Comfort is not optional. You deserve a BBL pillow designed with real bodies, real healing, and real experience in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Bellini BBL Pillow

Is the Bellini BBL pillow good for all body types?

Yes. The flat-top design and gel-infused memory foam allow the Bellini to adapt to different body shapes and sizes. Instead of forcing your body into a fixed position, the pillow responds to you, creating personalized comfort and stability during recovery.

Why doesn’t the Bellini BBL pillow have waves or grooves?

Wavy designs assume all bodies are built the same—and they’re not. As a post-op therapist, I saw how molded pillows caused discomfort and instability for many women. The flat-top design allows your body to naturally settle where it feels supported while keeping pressure off the surgical area.

Does the Bellini BBL pillow help with circulation after surgery?

Yes. By keeping direct pressure off the buttocks and allowing the body to rest in a natural position, the Bellini supports healthy blood flow and circulation, which is essential during BBL surgery recovery.

Who designed the Bellini BBL pillow?

The Bellini was designed by me, a licensed massage therapist and post-op recovery specialist, along with my husband. It was created after years of working hands-on with cosmetic surgery patients and listening to real recovery challenges.

When should I start using a BBL pillow after surgery?

Always follow your surgeon’s post-operative instructions. Most clients begin using a BBL pillow as soon as sitting is permitted during recovery, but individual timelines can vary.
